[LA-SiGMA] XSEDE OpenACC Workshop

Dear All,

XSEDE, along with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, the National 
Institute for Computational Sciences and Georgia Tech will be presenting 
an OpenACC GPU programming workshop on August 13 and 14. LSU is one of 
the sites selected for the broadcast with a class size of 25 in 307 Frey 
Computing Services Center. Please register at the XSEDE portal 
(https://www.xsede.org/web/xup/course-calendar/-/training-user/class/141) if 
you plan on attending. Please note that the times listed are in EDT and 
should be translated as 10AM - 4PM CDT for both days.

The agenda is below and it is designed as two short days to be time-zone 
friendly. OpenACC is the accepted standard using compiler directives to 
allow quick development of GPU capable codes using standard languages 
and compilers. It has been used with great success to accelerate real 
applications within very short development periods. This workshop 
assumes knowledge of either C or Fortran programming. It will have a 
hands-on component using the NSF large scale GPU computing platform 
presently being deployed at the National Institute for Computational 
Sciences.
