Dear All,

The next HPC Training will be held in 307 Frey CSC and broadcast through 
Adobe Connect for remote users at 10AM on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013

Wednesday, July 10, 2013: HPC User Environment
This training provides an overview of the User environment and running 
jobs on HPC systems.
Prereqs:
*This training requires a LONI or LSU HPC account. No Training accounts 
will be provided. Topics covered include description of available 
queues, managing environment with softenv keys, writing simple 
pbs/loadleveler scripts, submitting and monitoring jobs. If you are not 
familiar with any of the above, it is strongly recommended that you 
attend this training even if you are not a new user.*

This training sessions is mandatory for new and prospective users.

*HPC User Satisfaction Survey*
The annual satisfaction survey of LONI and LSU High Performance 
Computing services (HPC) has been started. The survey will run through 
Jul 19, 2013. Current and potential users can take this opportunity to 
identify what HPC at LSU has done correctly, where improvements are 
needed, and/or suggest capabilities (software, hardware platforms) that 
should be considered for future upgrades. Please note this need not be 
answered only by currently users. If you have been considering using HPC 
resources to support research projects, and require something that is
not available, take this as an opportunity to let us know.
