[LA-SiGMA] HPC Training: Shell Scripting

Dear All,

The next HPC training will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 10:00 am in 
307 Frey and broadcast through Adobe Connect for remote users.

Wednesday, Feb 27, 2013: Shell Scripting
Continuing on from the Intro to Linux training, this tutorial will 
introduce basic shell scripting (writing simple scripts) and then move 
on to advanced topics such as flow control, command line arguments, awk 
and sed. The tutorial will include a hands-on exercise in writing 
scripts in both bash and tcsh. Participants are excepted to be familiar 
with working on a Linux/Unix system with particular emphasis on creating 
and editing files with editors such as vi and emacs. Note that you will 
not receive any help with using vi, emacs or any other file editors in 
this training.

Wednesday, Mar 6, 2013: Introduction to Perl
This training gives a brief introduction to the perl programming 
language, writing perl scripts, installing and using perl modules.
