The Virtual School of Computational Science and Engineering presents: Science Visualization

Organizer: Gregory D. Abram, Ph.D, Research Engineering/Scientist Associate

Texas Advanced Computing Center, The University of Texas at Austin

This two-day in-person training will cover all aspects of visualizing data from a broad variety of domains. The training kicks off with an introduction to visualization followed by best practices when dealing with diverse data (abstract and spatial), demonstrating a variety of methods and techniques on those data sets and demonstrating a range of freely available software. Real world problems for which visualization is needed will be demonstrated and attendees will be taken through the process of visualizing this data and gaining insight.

Sites that are hosting this course are University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Michigan, University of Houston (Clear Lake), Oklahoma State University, University of Houston (Houston), Georgia State University, University of Iowa, UCLA, Louisiana State University, Virginia Tech, West Virginia State University, University of Delaware, Princeton, University of Utah, Purdue University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
