Hi all,


Our weekly seminar will be held on Thursday (7/10) at 12:00pm-1:00pm in the Digital Media

Center Theatre.


Xiaoyao Ma, a graduate student from the department of Physics and Astronomy, is going

to present his research. The title is "Kink Based Quantum Monte Carlo". The advantage

of kink-based QMC is to overcome "Minus sign problem" in fermionic system; Xiaoyao uses

this method to calculate the ground state energy in Quantum System.

PIZZA AND DRINK WILL BE PROVIDED after the presentation in 1008B DMC.
