[LA-SiGMA-TESC] Technologies for Extreme Scale Computing (TESC) seminar Thursday (2/20)

Hi all,


We will have our weekly seminar at 11:00am-12:00pm on Thursday (2/20) in the Digital Media Center Theatre.


This week we have Dr. Clint Whaley, an associate professor from the department of Computer Science and Engineering, to present. The title is "Automated high performance optimization in ATLAS and iFKO".

Abstract: Overview two ongoing projects involved in achieving high performance on changing architectures.  The first is ATLAS (Automatically Tuned Linear Algebra Software), which provides high performance linear algebra libraries, and the second is iFKO (iterative Floating Point Kernel Optimizer), which is an empirical compiler for HPC on the x86 family of architectures.

PIZZA AND DRINK WILL BE PROVIDED after the presentation in 1008B DMC.
