[LA-SiGMA-funded] Student Retreat - Re-advertised

Hello Everyone,

As a reminder, the Student Retreat is scheduled for July 2, at Tulane  
University. See attached flyer for exact location.

The Guest Speaker for the Retreat is Peter Feibelman(SNLA). He talks
about his book "A PhD is not enough: A Guide To Survival In Science"
(http://www.amazon.com/PhD-Is-Not-Enough-Survival/dp/0201626632).
This gives career/professional development advice to STEM g-students.
Peter has been doing this for some years, including at Harvard, MIT,
and at The University of Michigan.   Typically, in addition to a
public lecture, he will spend some time exclusively with students
fielding questions, hearing complaints, etc.

We encourage all to attend as this is a great networking opportunity  
and highly regarded by NSF. If you will be attending  and require  
lodging please let Leigh and I know as we will need to coordinate this  
effort with Tulane, as well as, your home institution's PI as they  
will be billed for your travel expenses.

LSU students, if you will be attending please let us know so your  
travel paperwork can be processes ahead of time.
