[LA-SiGMA] HPC training: HPC User Environment 1

Dear All,

The Schedule for the Summer 2015 HPC Training is available at http://www.hpc.lsu.edu/training/tutorials.php.

Our next two HPC trainings will be held on Wednesday, June 24 and July 01 at 9:30 AM in 307 Frey and broadcast through Adobe Connect for remote users. Note that all HPC trainings will start at 9:30AM.

Wednesday, June 24, 2014: HPC User Environment 1, Job Management with PBS/Loadleveler
Wednesday, July 01, 2014: HPC User Environment 2, Job Management with PBS/Loadleveler
This training provides an overview of the HPC hardware and software environment, queuing system, compiling programs, writing submit scripts, running and monitoring jobs on HPC systems. This training is a two day training event mandatory for new users held on June 24 and July 01.
Prerequisite: Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands and editors, LONI or LSU HPC account (No Training Accounts will be provided)

Wednesday, July 08, 2015: Introduction To Latex
LaTeX is a high-quality document preparation system. It is often used for technical or scientific documents. This tutorial is an introduction to creating documents using LaTeX.
Prerequisite: Laptop with a Latex editing environment such as TeXLive installed from http://www.tug.org/texlive/ for Windows, Mac and Linux OR MacTeX-2015 http://www.tug.org/mactex/ for Mac OSX
