The LSU Center for Computation & Technology (CCT) invites you to participate in the 20th Annual Mardi Gras Conference on Petascale Many Body Methods for Complex Correlated Systems. The meeting will start Thursday morning, February 12, 2015, and run through Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2015. A workshop for graduate students and postdocs will follow with more in depth lectures on Sunday, February 15, and Monday, February 16.

Topics include numerically exact descriptions of disordered and interacting electron systems, complex spin and orbital states of correlated materials, strongly correlated superconductors, including strong correlations in density functional theory, spin models, etc.

Scope & Audience: This conference takes place in the framework of a Partnership for International Research and Education (PIRE) funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation. The goal of this project is to develop a new international research and graduate education program leveraging cyberinfrastructure investment to study complex phenomena in correlated materials. 

Hosted by the Materials Science Group at the LSU Center for Computation & Technology, we invite scientists from academia and research labs, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students working in the wide domain of materials science. Join us as we promote the exchange of ideas, experiences and research results, and discuss current challenges.
