[LA-SiGMA] HPC Training: Introduction to Matlab

Dear All,
The Schedule for the Fall 2014 HPC Training is available at http://www.hpc.lsu.edu/training/tutorials.php.
Note that all HPC trainings will start at 9:30AM from October, 2014.
Our next HPC training will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 9:30 AM in 307 Frey and broadcast through Adobe Connect for remote users.
Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014: Introduction to Matlab
Matlab is a high-level language and interactive environment for numerical computation, visualization, and programming. This training provides an introduction to Matlab, including language fundamentals, basic programming and plotting graphics. Solving several mathematical problems with Matlab will be introduced too.
Prerequisites: Calculus, Linear algebra, slight experience of programming with high-level languages is assumed, but not required.
Next HPC Training:
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014: Python Programming
This training will provide a brief introduction to the python programming language, introduce you to some useful python modules for system management and scientific computing.
Prerequisites: LONI or LSU HPC account, slight experience of programming with high-level languages is assumed, but not required.
