[LA-SiGMA] HPC Training: Python Programming

Dear All,

The Schedule for the Fall 2014 HPC Training is available at http://www.hpc.lsu.edu/training/tutorials.php.

Note that all HPC trainings will start at 9:30AM from October, 2014.

Our next HPC training will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 9:30 AM in 307 Frey and broadcast through Adobe Connect for remote users.

Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014: Python Programming
This training will provide a brief introduction to the python programming language, introduce you to some useful python modules for system management and scientific computing.
Prerequisites: LONI or LSU HPC account, slight experience of programming with high-level languages is assumed, but not required.

Next HPC Training:

Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014: Basic OpenMP
This tutorials provides an introduction to OpenMP Programming. It is structured to introduce the components of OpenMP in a concise, progressive fashion, so users can begin to apply OpenMP to their codes in a minimum amount of time.
Prerequisites:LONI or LSU HPC accounts, Understand programming in C, Fortran or C++. Examples will be in C or Fortran, Laptop with an SSH client such as Putty.
