Dear All,

The last HPC training for the Spring 2014 semester will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 10:00 AM CDT in 307 Frey and broadcast through Adobe Connect for remote users.

Schedule:
Training Lecture: 10AM - 12:30 PM
Hands-On and Consultation: 1:30PM - 4PM
Registration Deadline: Noon on Apr 22, 2014
Version Control is the management of changes to documents, computer programs, large web sites, and other collections of information. This tutorial gives an introduction to various version control software such as subversion, git and mercurial. This tutorial will cover the following topics:

  *   setting up a repository
  *   workflows: checkout, update and making changes to the repository
  *   committing and analyzing changes to the repository, resolving conflicts

Note: The training sessions are subject to cancellation due to lack of registrations, so please register if you plan on attending. Registration closes at noon on the day prior to the training.
