Dear All,
The next HPC training will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 9:00 AM in
307 Frey and broadcast through Adobe Connect for remote users.
Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013: Introduction to OpenFOAM
Schedule:
Training Lecture: 9AM - Noon
Hands-On and Consultation: 1PM - 4PM
OpenFOAM is a free, open source Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
software package developed by OpenCFD Ltd at ESI Group and distributed
by the OpenFOAM Foundation. This training will provide a brief
introduction to OpenFOAM and how to use OpenFOAM under HPC environment.
*Prerequisites*: /No prior knowledge of OpenFOAM, C++ or Linux is
required but some basic knowledge of Linux and programming is
beneficial. Access to a computer with OpenFOAM (2.x.x preferred)
installed. OpenFOAM is installed on LONI cluster QueenBee and LSU HPC
cluster Super Mike II. Training accounts will be provided for in person
participants only who do not have a LONI or LSU HPC account./
*Note: We reserve the right to cancel a training session if there are
less than 5 registered participants, please register if you plan on
attending the training sessions. Registration closes at 8AM on the day
of the training.*

Training schedule for the Spring 2014 will be finalized and updated on
the HPC Training website sometime in the first or second week of January
2014, with the first training tentatively scheduled for the third or
fourth week of January 2014.
