[LA-SiGMA] Registration Open: 2nd Annual High Performance Computing User Symposium

Dear All,

Registration is still open for the 2nd Annual High Performance Computing 
User Symposium. For logistic reasons, we would appreciate if you could 
register at http://www.hpc.lsu.edu/users/symposium/index.php at your 
earliest. /Registration for other HPC Week events, Programming and 
Scie//ntific Visualization Workshop is closed./

If you plan on presenting a poster, please consider submitting your 
abstract before the June 7th deadline.

Date and Times: 6PM - 8PM on June 12, 2013 and 8:30AM - 5:00PM on June 
13, 2013
Venue: LSU Energy, Coast & Environment Bldg Rotunda Lobby and Dalton J. 
Woods Auditorium

Registration Fee: None
Registration Deadline: June 7, 2013 (if presenting), on-site 
registration if not presenting.
Description:
/The Symposium will consists of a series of invited talks and a poster 
session discussing research using HPC systems. The symposium is open to 
all, with the hope of engendering cross-discipline communication and 
exchange of methods and experiences.//

//This is an opportunity for the user community to come together and 
share experiences and methods. Anyone interested in HPC is more than 
welcome to come by and find out how HPC systems are utilized in research 
at LONI member institutions.//

//All participants are encouraged to present a poster displaying your 
recent work using HPC resources. Participants who are not HPC users or 
are prospective HPC users are encouraged to present work that can 
benefit using HPC resources. This is an opportunity to meet our user 
community and foster collaborations.//

//Please upload a one-page abstract in pdf or doc format at the 
symposium website. Please consider using the templates (tex and word) 
provided to ensure uniformity in the Book of Abstracts. Poster Board 
size is 4ft x 4ft. A few undergraduate, graduate students and postdocs 
will be selected by the Scientific Advisory Committee to present a 
short, 15-30 talks in lieu of poster presentation./
