[LA-SiGMA] HPC Training: Make and Software Installation

Dear All,

The next HPC training will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 10:00 am in 
307 Frey and broadcast through Adobe Connect for remote users.

Wednesday, Mar 20, 2013: Make and Software Installation
In this tutorial we will cover the following topics:
  * writing a Makefile to handle dependencies among source files,
  * building/installing a program and using macros with Make,
  * building software packages that come bundled with configure scripts 
and makefiles

Next HPC Training
Wednesday, Mar 27, 2013: Overview of Numerical Libraries
This training will cover serial and parallel libraries for better 
performance. Topics will include include numerical, I/O and other useful 
libraries such as lapack(netlib, mkl), fftw, petsc, hdf5/netcdf. Some 
optimizations for mpi libraries and compilers will also be covered. This 
training requires a LONI or LSU HPC account or a system with these 
libraries already installed (our virtual image does not have these 
libraries installed).

institution who may benefit from these training.
