[LA-SiGMA] David Carver - LASiGMA Seminar, October 3, 2012

Hello Everyone,

Our first LASiGMA Seminar for the Fall semester will be given by David  
Carver of Carver Scientific, Inc. Dr. Carver's talk is scheduled for  
Wednesday, October 3, 2012 and will be hosted by LSU in Johnston Hall,  
room 338. The Seminar will begin at 3:30pm and conclude at 4:30pm. The  
title of his talk is "Energy, Energy Storage, and Organic Synthesis: A  
Unique Scientific Interdisciplinary Approach."

Dr. Carver is the Company founder and inventor of the polymer  
technology to be commercialized by Carver Scientific.  He serves as  
the Chief Scientist and leads all company research & development.  
David also serves as a director of the Company.

Dr. Carver received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in 1979  
and was a National Institute of Health Postdoctoral Fellow at Colorado  
State University (1979 to 1981). He is the holder of over 18 patents  
in the areas of advanced energy technologies, organic synthesis, and  
analytical instrumentation.
