Dear All,
The next HPC training will be held on Wednesday, Sep. 19 at 10:00 am in
307 Frey and broadcast through Adobe Connect for remote users.
Wednesday, Sep 19, 2012: Introduction to Linux
The aim of this training is to get users familiar with using Linux
systems for e.g. the HPC resources.
Next HPC Training
Wednesday, Sep 26, 2012: Bash Shell Scripting
This tutorial reviews some important concepts and useful commands of
bash and topics such as flow control and command line arguments.
Both of these tutorials are not intended solely for HPC users. Anyone
who is interested in learning about using a Linux based computer is
encouraged to attend the Intro to Linux training. Anyone who wants to
get more out of their LINUX/UNIX systems to carry out simple tasks such
as writing job submission scripts, analyzing/manipulating data, carrying
out system administration tasks etc. is encouraged to attend the Bash
Scripting Tutorial.
Please feel free to distribute to members of your department or
institution who may benefit from these training.
