[LA-SiGMA] ACS Symposium information

Dear LA-SiGMA colleagues and students:

On behalf of LA-SiGMA, Les Butler and I have organized a two day 
symposium at the 2012 South-West Regional Meeting (SWRM) of the American 
Chemical Society, to be held Nov. 5 and 6 at the Baton Rouge Hilton.  
The title of the symposium is "Clean Energy, Materials Science, and the 
Materials Genome Initiative." Our speakers come from industry, academia, 
and national labs.  The program for the event (attached) includes a 100 
minute panel discussion on how universities and national labs may 
collaborate to leverage the anticipated investments in the Materials 
Genome Initiative.  I hope that many of you will be able to attend the 
symposium and also contribute to the panel discussion.
