Next HPC Training
Wednesday, Oct 10, 2012: Subversion Version Control
Subversion is tool to manage revision and version control for software,
documentation, web pages etc that is required for collaborative
activities. This training will cover topics such as setting up a
repository, workflows and making changes to repositories
Please feel free to distribute to members of your department or
institution who may benefit from these training.
Please visit http://www.hpc.lsu.edu/training/ for more details and
register using the link provided. Registration closes at 9AM on the day
of the scheduled training.
Users who plan on joining remotely will be provided with an Adobe
Connect Link in their registration confirmation email. Please see the
system requirements at
http://connect.grok.lsu.edu/Categories.aspx?parentCategoryId=1519.
On another note, it was bought to our attention last week that the adobe
connect links send in the registration confirmation emails are not
working. This was found to be due to mail clients, either the ticketing
system or users cleints which automatically add hyperlinks are including
the period(.) at the end of the sentence to the hyperlink. Please note
that all connect links end with a date corresponding to the training
date with no periods e.g. for the make training (2012-10-03) and not
(2012-10-03.). If you get the connect link in your email confirmation
with a period included in the link at the end, please try the link again
without the period. I apologize if some users have been unable to attend
the training due to this problem.
Thanks,
Alex
