[LA-SiGMA-LSU] LA-SiGMA's Participation in Super Science Saturday

Hello,

As part of LA-SiGMA's Outreach to middle school and high school students and
the general public, LA-SiGMA will participate in the annual ACS Open House
"Super Science Saturday," which is scheduled for Saturday October 15 from
10am-2pm. I have attached a flyer about the event.

We will have hands-on nanoscience demonstrations available at the table, as
well as information about LA-SiGMA. We are asking LA-SiGMA participants to
volunteer at the table. I will attend the event, train volunteers on the
demonstrations, and be available for any questions that volunteers may have.

Volunteers will interact with students, explain their research, and answer
questions. Volunteers are welcome to bring demonstrations relating to your
research, or laptops to show simulations, or scientific posters to display.

I would like to have 2-3 volunteers per shift, and the shifts are from
10am-11am, 11am-12pm, 12pm-1pm, and 1pm-2pm. I will attend the event, and I
will train the volunteers on how to use the demonstrations.

Please let me know if you are available to work one or more shifts, and
share your scientific knowledge with the Baton Rouge community. Please let
me know by Saturday, October 8.
