[LA-SiGMA-TESC] LA-SiGMA-TESC] Technologies for Extreme Scale Computing seminar on Thursday (4/30)

Hi all,

We will have the weekly TESC seminar this Thursday (4/30) at 12:00pm-1:00pm in 1034 Digital Media Center.

Ye Fang, a graduate student from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, will give a  presentation. The title of his talk is "compiler directives for parallel computing, a case study on proton nucleation".  This talk will present his latest effort of accelerating the proton nucleation code using two directive computing models: OpenMP and OpenACC. Ye Fang will talk about the similarity, the fundamental differences, and highlight OpenACC 2.0's asynchronous data movement and kernel constructs.

PIZZA AND DRINK WILL BE PROVIDED.
