?Hi all,
We will have the weekly TESC seminar this Thursday (4/9) at 12:00pm-1:00pm in 1034 Digital Media Center.
Jian Tao, a research scientist and IT consultant at CCT, will give present. The title is "Continuous-time Quantum Monte Carlo - Hybridization-expansion Algorithm for Fermions (I)"
Abstract:
This is the first of two talks to introduce the Continuous-time Quantum Monte Carlo (CT-QMC) methods and the hybridization-expansion algorithm (CT-HYB) for fermions. Compared to the widely used Hirsch-Fye method, CT-QMC, in general, doesn't requires any explicit time discretization that may cause troubles in time step extrapolation. In particular, CT-HYB has been demonstrated to be able to handle large interactions and low temperatures more efficiently than Hirsch-Fye.
This talk will focus on the theoretic background of CT-QMC and CT-HYB, while the second talk will focus on numerical algorithms and implementation.
PIZZA AND DRINK WILL BE PROVIDED.
Presentation time: 12:00PM~1:00PM CST
Location: 1034 Digital Media Center
The meeting will be shared through adobe connect at http://connect.lsu.edu/gpu/
Best,
Wei
