The LSU Center for Computation & Technology and HPC at LSU will host a 
Intel-Cray Xeon Phi Boot camp on October 7 - 9 in Rm 1034 of the new 
Digital Media Center at LSU in Baton Rouge. This workshop is intended to 
familiarize experienced programmers with the Xeon Phi accelerator card, 
the latest many integrated core processor from Intel. It will introduce 
the card's architecture and operational characteristics. The approach 
will assume familiarity with parallel programming techniques, and the 
focus will be on how to adapt those skills to programming models 
appropriate for the Xeon Phi. The goal is to get experienced developers 
proficient in Xeon Phi programming as quickly as possible. Hands-on 
access to a Cray XC30 equipped with Xeon Phi's will be provided.
