I am certainly interested and, as already mentioned in person, we should
plan on a SSD for the development storage. This can considerably speed
up compile times and is really sweet while developing.

I would probably not get this SSD directly from Dell if possible -
mainly because they charge insane prices. The chassis seems to support
up to 12(!) 2.5" discs. You could get a Samsung 840 Pro 500GB SSD for
about $470 from newegg, for example:
