[LA-SiGMA-funded] Louisiana Academy of Sciences - 2015 Annual Meeting Reminder

This is a reminder that the deadline to submit an abstract for the upcoming 89th Annual Meeting of the Louisiana Academy of Sciences, is this coming Friday, January 30th. The conference will be in Nicholls State University on March 14, 2015.

Please upload your 200 words abstract in the Academy web page (http://www.laacademy.org/meeting.html). In addition, graduate and undergraduate students can compete for the best oral and poster presentation by e-mailing a 1-page extended abstract to the session chair. See details by selecting the "View Student Paper/Poster Competition Instructions", you can find information on session chair to submit your extended abstract by selecting the "Executive Council" link.

Faculty, postdocs, and even senior graduate students, please consider to volunteer to be a judge for the competition! Let me know if you are interested.


This is a great venue to share your work with colleagues in LA.  The registration is very cheap and includes lunch! making this and excellent opportunity to expose your students to a friendly conference environment without exhausting all your funds.
