[LA-SiGMA-funded] Host a speaker of your choice for the LA-SiGMA Spring Seminars

Dear All,

If you would like to host a researcher for a couple of days during the Spring 2015, you can do that by inviting him/her to give a LA-SiGMA seminar on a Wednesday next semester.  If you know of a researcher, from academia or industry, that you would like to invite to your university, give seminar, and meet your group as well as other LA-SiGMA members, please send your suggestions to John DiTusa and me.

LA-SiGMA staff is responsible for assisting with the travel and reimbursement logistics as well as making sure that all seminar and conference rooms needed are reserved. You, the Host, will be responsible for making initial contact with the suggested speaker after approval of the seminar committee and working with the LASiGMA faculty to make sure that the schedule of the visit is complete so that there is no down-time for the visitor. (See attached document for a detailed explanation of the responsibilities).
