[LA-SiGMA-funded] Free student for summer

Dear LA-SiGMA member

 

There are two students from Grambling, chemistry majors, that are looking
for a summer research opportunity, they are both MARC scholars and that
means that they MUST do something over summer, and that their assistantship
and housing is paid for, they cannot received any fund from a federal source
(if you have other funds that are not federal and want to add something,
that is fine though).  The MARC program at GSU have the aim to provide the
students with all they need to attend graduate school at a major University
after graduation, and thus they have been working on strengthen these
students academically and making them more professional.

 

Could you please ask around your campus if anybody can accommodate one
summer student this summer "free of charge"? It does not need to be one of
you necessarily, anybody in your campus that would like to accommodate a
chemistry student for summer.
