[LA-SiGMA-funded] REU projects for summer 2012

Dear Colleague,

Thanks to all of the faculty members who mentored REU students during the summer. 
 
It is time to start recruiting students for the Summer 2012 REU program, so Leigh is updating the website in preparation for the application process.  For those of you who submitted project summaries last year, please find them here: http://www.institute.loni.org/lasigma/reu/project/index.php under "Proposed Student Projects."  Please let Leigh know if you'd like to keep the same summary or if she needs to update it. For any one who did not submit an REU project summary last year, or for those of you who would like to propose a new project, we need you to send a summary of your proposed Summer 2012 project to Leigh Townsend at lgalat1 at lsu.edu by Friday, November 11.
 
It is very important that potential applicants get a broad idea of the projects that LA-SiGMA offers, so we'd like every potential REU mentor to submit a project summary.
