As of noon, Tuesday May 17, only 15 responses have been received 
(expecting 55) to the baseline survey (see below).  Please make this a 
high priority and respond by the deadline tomorrow.  Xavier gets the 
prize for the first campus to record 100% response.  Here is how we 
stack up:

Dear LA-SiGMA researcher:

As part of the EPSCoR RII project, we are committed to ongoing 
assessment and evaluation.  The first step in this process is to 
establish a baseline by assessing the status at the beginning of the 
LA-SiGMA project.  To accomplish this, we request that you to access the 
link below and take a survey.  The attached PDF file provides a preview 
of the survey (the structure of the survey is a bit different but the 
information requested is the same as that in the attachment).  We are 
sending it along so that you can see in advance what information you 
need to gather before attempting the survey.

Please complete the survey as soon as possible, but definitely by *May 
18, 2011* so that we have time to compile and analyze the data before 
the May 28 All-Hands meeting.

Please keep the time-frame (*October 1, 2009-October 31, 2010*) in mind 
when responding.  Developments during the first year of LA-SiGMA will be 
captured in the "Year 1" survey, which will be prepared with the help of 
our external evaluator and distributed some time between the May 28 
All-Hands meeting and mid-July so as to have data on hand for the August 
6 All-Hands meeting. Thank you very much.
